Hey guys and gals. I haven't posted here in quite some time but I have some great news: I got my first client yesterday! OK so I'm not getting paid a thousand bucks a month but I'm getting great feedback, building up credibility, gaining experience, helping a local small business owner and friend, and even getting paid commisions.

And I just bought Main Street Marketing Machines! Yeah $3,000 is a ton if I'm just getting payed commisions but here's my plan and I'd love to hear your feedback on it...

I'm going to juice the 30 day trial for all it's worth. I'm going to offer a lighter version of MSMM services to this small business and also sell him on a website. Yeah he doesn't even have a site yet but in our last meeting I convinced him on the power of Internet marketing. I'm doing a free trial where I get a cheep video promoting his business in the top rankings wihin 7 days (i got the idea from somewhere on this forum) and we'll go from there.

Meanwhile, like fireman mike did I'm going to dominate a spacific local search term and get a full paying client. I have a business picked out but I'd prefer to keep it confidential until I have things set up.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I have to do it within 29 days. As you probably know from my intro post I'm 18. So in order to convince my dad to hand over his credit card info I had to make a bet that I could make this work and get a paying client or he could have all his money back plus 100 bucks from my wallet. If I win I just get to pay him back from the money I make.

I'm really looking forward to diving right into offline marketing now that I've found a tool that really simplifies everything. Up until now I've been stuck up on the little things like contracts and how to put my business out there but MSMM pretty much put my mind at rest about that stuff.

I know this isn't a quick fix or magic pill and I am actually looking forward to working online and with clients in the field. I just wanted to tell you all what an inspiration this forums been to me and tell you how excited I am to get this offline marketing rolling! I know my goals are ambitious but I also know they can be accomplished.

I can guaruntee that I'll be posting plenty of questions here but that's all for now. It's past 1:00 AM here now and I'm getting tired of typing on my iPod touch.

P.S. - Dexx your Initial Meeting Questions worked like a charm! Thank you sooo much.

    Way to go Colin!

Make sure you find time to watch all the MSMM Univiersity videos, I'm almost done the 2009 set and have learned a TON of great info/ideas =)

Keep us posted on your results!!

    Cheers,

    ~Dexx
