How about a link at the bottomof each thread

When you read a thread and get to the bottom your choice is scroll back to he top or hit the back arrow.

I link at the bottom of each thread to either home or main discussion forum would be great.

I just renamed it from "Home" to that for SEO purposes...but is that what you are looking for Jim, or something else?
