Hey Guys & Gals,

Just found this forum.. looks great so far. I have been doing IM for the last 5 years.. I started out developing my own diet product, built my site, did seo, media buys, email drops and co-reg to drive customers.. I then sold the biz..

Then got of the game 2 years ago.. Now am back in it to win it! I am in the process of just finishing up my website for promotion.

I live in a small city of 50k.. about 4 hours north of Toronto.. My question is, I would really like to hit businesses that are in the states and not in my home town right now.. I run a full time daycare from my home so am limited on time to actually go out and meet with clients.

Is there anyone have success with email/phone follow up and then sealing the deal? This is the route I would like to take to start until I can replace my current income then will hit the pavement in my own town.

Any suggestions?

The type of businesses / industries you are going after will determine how you approach them.

Thanks for the warm welcome and video.. I really don't have a demographic in mind.. I was going to scour different industry's based on their rank (if they actually have a site), check out if they have a google places listing (confirmed) and see how badly their presence is.. Then take the approach from there.. But I would like to target some bigger fish like cosmetic surgeons, dentist, ect...

Just watched the video.. it was helpful.. however assessing the size of the company we are targeting.. ie..cosmetic surgeons.. I can go to manta and take a look there. but I would like to approach them with a anaylsis of what marketing they are currently doing and tell them where I can do better by saving them x amount of money.. How do I find out their marketing campaigns.. obviously I can see if they have a site, gp listing, maybe some adword campaigns.. but how do you actually find out the details?

Also what is ups? I read in a post you should ups on your site? is this just united postal service?

Not sure, so many UPS abbreviations, can post the link that mentions it?

Finding out the details of a business' marketing activities would require you to probably speak with the people in charge of such acitivites. That's when / where I usually implement my coffee close with business owners to identify marketing opportunties.
