Yeah, but right now looking for recommendations before I hire someone from there. Would prefer to know that someone in the offline business world has had success with them and they don't do blackhat.

If you decide to go with odesk or scriptlance I would take the time to read profiles and past information on the people who bid on the job. Make sure you offer enough to get what you need done, you don't want to try to be cheap and end up getting screwed over, go with experience first. Just my thoughts!
