I believe all middle or small industries have this problem. It is very important to monitor the client and prevent its escape. In E-goi.com we already noted some customers to have this behavior. But it is equally important to be careful and not send emails in excess they can lead the customer to remove himself.

I agree with marketeer 1. Lots of people, myself included, get swamped down by 'newsletters' as a result of various on line forms we have filled in. The only ones I really take note of these days are those from Amazon.co.uk and Ebay.co.uk. Marketers must be careful that their newsletters, which take time to compile and time is money, don't end up in the junkmail box. Newsletter marketing in my opinion should be prioritised towards existing customers and their specific interests.

I think news letter and RRS feed subscription both are very important way to get the regular update from the website which you love and want to visit that website again and again when ever they have some thing new on their website like post or some offer. This is very common problem that people visit a website and they forgot the website but there is one solution is we can bookmark where we can visit that website again.

But i don't think this is the best solution because no one has time to visit the website again and again without any update on the website. So news letter and RRS subscription is the best option which update people whenever some thing new is happening on the website.
