Direct mail has worked for me -- but I've found using 'personalized postcards'
instead of letters for lead-generation... followed up w/ a phone call.

Just look at Jimian's signature. I bought his coiurse when it first came out. It was worth it. Some great ideas and examples.

If nothing else, read his sales page. Read it to get some ideas that he shares, and then read it again picking out the pieces of sales copy. It's pretty well done.

The find one of Dexx's post (there's a couple) and see about getting some of Kennedy/Blazer's stuff from the link in his signature.

    Hello Friends........

A key ingredient for successful business growth is direct mail advertising. The success of your direct mail advertising will be highly dependent upon the “perceived” quality of your business, the design, the type of paper, the message you’re conveying, and your special offer, using this advertising strategy. The combination of these factors determines if your direct mail piece will get read or tossed aside.

    Thanks

Your direct mail deliverable should call the all your target clients to respond to your promotional message. If they have any inquiries, then give them the link to your website and your contact numbers. As result the clients easily contact with you for any query. It is very helpful to directly interface with the clients. This strategy helps to increase the chance to promote your business in efficient manner.

Great Comments Above. I have always experienced the Highest Return (AKA Response) - when the direct mail was followed-up by a phone call.

This may not be effective for everyone - considering not everyone is comfortable making calls.

Last year I got a deal on 500 green #10 envelope and I had no idea what I was going to do with them, but then about 3 weeks before christmas it hit me to use the green envelopes to market one of my ebooks by mail order, as my thinking was they would get a really high readership at christmas time as green is a christmas color and people would open them thinking it was a christmas letter.

Well, witin 2 week after christmas I ended up getting 143 orders at $19.95 or $2,852.85 in total sales, so after postage and envelope costs of around $250 I ended up earning a profit of around $2,600.

Just thought I would share my idea and success.

    To your success,

    Martin

direct mails are effective however with the continuous technology advancement there are many innovative ways how you can capture the interest of people. One of these strategies is the use of email marketing, wherein you will send emails to your substantial clientele and patrons. Most of the time we can send business updates and product news. Let them share their comments and suggestion. this shows that you value them and you prioritize their stand.

Direct mail marketing is the elder process of direct marketing. Although many have switched to email marketing over direct mail marketing, it still considered as a common technique of direct marketing. It gives the individual the advantage of touch and feel unlike emails. Before enacting direct mail, you need to contemplate factors such as the clients to be sent, the method of getting them and the prospective clients. To have success with direct mail, you have to think outside of the box. You need to have a strong campaign that will allow you to market your business virtually on autopilot.

I agree with you. Direct mail marketing is an effective offline way to promote your business. But if you use it very carefully.

I have done a few pieces and we've made a positive ROI. I wouldn't consider it a success, only because I'd like more responses, but still, the ROI from the mailings still result in more money than the actual mailings.

To maximize your direct mailing efforts, make sure that you match your list to your offer. Meaning, sell to people who are most likely to buy. Identify a problem that you can solve and send your mailings only to those who will benefit from your offer.

Some people might get annoyed with receiving different types of advertisements through mail. I, however, think that if direct mail advertising is the worst thing you receive through mail, then you don't have much to complain about, really. The point is that direct mail advertisements can be very effective as long asyou choose the right people as your audience.
