"Marketing Resources" in Marketing Related Discussions, and "Marketing Product Reviews & Ratings" in The Marketplace.

My thinking was ... if I've got a service that I'd like to recommend via my aff link, it belongs in the latter.

But I'm seeing similar things in the former. So ... perhaps some guidelines as to what to put where would be helpful.

Hi David, I'll try to clarify those descriptions.

Think of it like this:

Business Resources
Business Prospecting Letters
Books on Business Marketing
Videos to share with clients
etc.

Product Reviews and Ratings (advice for others thinking about purchasing a product)

A recent software you purchased (or plan to) that you want advice/reviews on (or to give)
A coaching program, or ebook, that you would like to receive/give reviews on

Sorry, it's still not clear where a "recommended service" would go. Meaning they'll probably end up split between both.

Maybe to keep things simple, you could add a "Recommended Products and Services" and suggest putting anything with an aff link there.

(Personally, I don't get why people are so put off by affiliate links, especially online marketers. I guess it's because I never recommend anything I don't personally use or believe in; if I can get an aff link for it, that's icing on the cake. I don't make a practice of promoting things via aff link just because I'm an affiliate. But I know that's probably the exception more than the rule.)

I see what you mean, I've changed it up now.

One is free marketing resources: example prospecting letters, video links you can email to clients etc.

The other will be reviews and recommendations on paid products and services so people can get advice before spending money.
