Dunning Mailer Method... Who's using it and how's it working for you?

Many of you have probably read the thread on Warrior Forum that Dexx started where in it, it was mentioned that using the Dunning mailer method is an effective way to first contact potential clients.

If you're not familiar, check out this video of Dan Kennedy tell a story about a business owner who used it most effectively:

So who's using this and how is it working for you?

Everyone should be but only the marketing people understand it most biz do not understand it but on the hand most of them waste thier money on yellow page hype and radio or tv i am the best or opened hype BUT it works even to nursing homes were I have used it in 2005 to get meetings with 4 of the bigest nursing home companies in the us with over 2500 beds each.

I am going to order the Kennedy marketing kit to learn more about this. I would like to use it to sell advertising to restaurants on my Hotel Channel Guide web site. I have a sales guy hired that will start knocking on doors, but a well planned direct mail system would allow me to also close sales myself. I just can't be out knocking on doors. My thought is that my call to action would be for them to call me.

I just need to get my hands on the exact methodology and some sample letters that I could adapt. I have some ideas for stories, offers, etc.
